チャコのサンダルは僕らの夏の正装です（断言ｗ）
創業者はマーク・ペイジ。
1970年代後半から80年代にかけてカリフォルニアのシューズメーカーで働いた後にコロラドに移り住んだ彼はリバーガイドを始めたが、その時に市販されていたサンダルにはどれも満足できなかった。
そこでペイジは、シューズメーカーで働いていた知識と経験をいかして自分で作ってしまおうと決意する！こうして生まれたチャコのサンダルは、その優れたフィット感によってあっという間に世間の評判を手に入れることに。
そのフィット感の秘密はフットベッドにある。足専門の整形外科医の協力をもとに完成させたフットベッドは、土踏まずが潰れて足首が内側にむいてしまう「回内運動」を抑制。長時間歩行しても疲れにくいものになっている。
チャコサンダルののもう一つの特徴は、ソールの張り替えやストラップの交換などの修理対応を大切にしているところ。気に入った一足と長く付き合うことができるのだ。
